Horse has ball like lump on throat!?

Today i noticed a horse at our yard had swollen glands by the look of it and a marble sized lump on the throat which you could almost move about in there. I think it was quite soft.He doesn't seem at all ill. He was eating fine and seemed his-self. What do you think this could be? He doesn't have a snotty nose or pussy lumps.
