Working at the mall, how to apply?

I wanna work at Hollister, Vans, or PacSuns at my mall. Do I just walk in and ask for an application then fill it out real quick and hand it back to them? Once I asked a snotty employee at jamba juice for an application and he laughed and was like "uh, haha yeah the applications are right over there ha" like he was better than me or some crap. Anyways, do I ask for one or print one off the internet or something? Thanks.
